Best Builds for Chixia in Wuthering Waves: Best Weapons, Echo, and Teams
One of the first heroes you will encounter in Wuthering Waves is Chixia. The owner of a powerful pistol will soon join your team for free. In this guide, we have compiled the best builds for Chixia, as well as described all available skills and effective teams with her participation.
Best Builds for Chixia in Wuthering Waves
Although Chixia cannot be called one of the strongest companions in the game, with full upgrade you can use the heroine as a DPS even in the later stages of the game. But primarily, she is ideal for the start until more powerful resonators appear in your team. Below are the best builds for the heroine: weapons, echo, and teams.
Best Weapon for Chixia
Static Mist is a powerful 5-star pistol that significantly increases Chixia's critical damage chance and boosts her energy regeneration. But since the heroine is best revealed in the early stages, you are unlikely to have this weapon. As an alternative, you can use the 4-star Thunderbolt. This pistol increases the resonance skill damage bonus by 7% up to three times when dealing basic or heavy attacks, which you will often use with this character.
Best Main Echo
The echo Inferno Rider is perfect for Chixia. It allows you to deal consecutive strikes that inflict fusion damage while increasing the damage and basic attack of your current character. This makes it undoubtedly the best choice for this hero.
Best Echo Sonata Effect
In the early stages, it is important to maximize Chixia's damage output. The best way to achieve this is by using the Molten Rift set. In a full set of five parts, this set increases fusion damage by 30% after using the Resonance skill, allowing the heroine to deal consistently high damage for a long time. Therefore, it is not recommended to mix this effect with others — it is best to focus solely on the Molten Rift.
Best Teams with Chixia
- Rover, Sanhua, Taoqi;
- Baizhi, Verina;
- Chixia.
Chixia is best used as the main DPS character at lower upgrade levels. At the start, you probably won't have a wide choice of resonators, so an excellent team would be to combine Chixia with Rover as an additional fighter and Baizhi as a support character, since all these characters can be unlocked through the main story. Later, when you have more resources and opportunities, replace Baizhi with the 5-star Verina and Rover with another sub-DPS, such as Sanhua or Taoqi. This will create a more powerful and balanced team, in which Chixia will continue to play an important role.
Thesis:
- Rover starts the battle and charges Concerto Energy until the Resonator icons of another character are activated.
- When Chixia is fully charged, switch to Chixia. At this moment, Rover's finishing skill «Time Stop» should activate, slowing time for 3 seconds.
- Use the Resonance skill (hold) to deal damage. Hitting targets will be easy as they are in stasis. If available, use her Ultimate to finish off enemies not defeated by the resonance skill. Also, use the equipped echo when it is not recharging.
- Switch back to Rover as soon as Concerto Energy is fully charged. If healing is needed, switch to your healer and use their skills for quick health recovery.
- Repeat actions until the enemy is defeated.
Active Skills
- Basic Attack: The hero performs up to four consecutive shots dealing fusion damage. Using a heavy attack switches her to aiming mode, allowing for a more powerful shot. A fully charged shot also deals fusion damage. The aerial attack requires stamina and allows shooting, dealing damage in the air. Additionally, using the basic attack after a successful dodge deals damage to the target.
- Resonance Skill: Chixia performs a series of shots dealing fusion damage.
- Resonance Release: The hero quickly shoots at all nearby enemies.
- Introductory Skill: Chixia shoots with two pistols at nearby targets.
- Outro Skill: The character releases a shockwave around the target, dealing fusion damage to enemies in the area of effect. Damage scales based on Chixia's attack stat.
Passive Skills
- Forte Circuit: Chixia can hold up to 60 thermobaric bullets, which can be obtained using her normal attacks, initial skill, and resonance ability. The «Scorching Journal» skill can increase the maximum number of thermobaric bullets by 10. When the «Whistling Fighting Spirit» mode is activated, Chixia enters the «DAKA DAKA!» state, where she uses thermobaric bullets to deal damage. If 30 thermobaric bullets were fired upon activation of her basic attack, the «Resonance» skill is activated and ends this mode. It will also end if the thermobaric bullets run out. Additionally, Chixia will deal fusion damage when using her «Resonance» ability.
- Innate Skill 1: Chixia's maximum number of thermobaric bullets is increased by 10, and the damage of her «Resonance» skill is increased by 50%.
- Innate Skill 2: Each thermobaric bullet that hits the target during the «DAKA DAKA!» mode increases Chixia's attack damage by 1% for 10 seconds. This effect can stack up to 30 times.
Resonance Chain Skills
- First Node — Heroic Game Fan: Chixia's Resonance Skill always deals a critical hit.
- Second Node — Bouncing Sparkles: Chixia restores 5 units of resonance energy each time a target is defeated during Resonance Release. This can happen up to 4 times per Resonance Release.
- Third Node — Eternal Flame: Chixia's Resonance Release deals 40% more damage to targets with less than 50% health.
- Fourth Node — Hero's Main Move: Chixia's Resonance Release grants 60 thermobaric bullets and resets the cooldown of her Resonance.
- Fifth Node — Triumphant Explosions: When the innate skill «Stunningly Sharp!» reaches the maximum number of stacks, Chixia's attack is further increased by 30%.
- Sixth Node — Easter Egg Show: Chixia's Resonance increases the basic attack damage bonus by 25% for all team members for 15 seconds.
Chixia's Strengths and Weaknesses
Advantages:
- Simple and easy-to-use character.
- Deals a lot of damage.
- Easy to master combos.
- Ultimate skill is great for handling large numbers of opponents.
- High mobility.
Disadvantages:
- Cannot maximize resonance release against bosses.
- Requires constant movement and timely dodging for survival.
- Some abilities cannot be used if there are no resonance skill charges.
How to Play Chixia in Wuthering Waves
Chixia is a fusion resonator whose main goal is to deal maximum damage. Primarily focus on increasing her fusion damage and critical damage. If you have access to Chixia at the S1 level, pay more attention to critical damage, as her «Resonance» skill at this level will guarantee many critical hits.
Chixia's strengths play a crucial role in combat as she is a skill-oriented resonator. To maximize her fusion damage, players should pay special attention to her basic skill, followed by the «Strong Chain» and «Resonance» skills:
- Basic Skill: The main source of damage that should be developed first.
- Strong Chain: An important skill for dealing consistent damage and increasing efficiency.
- Resonance: Allows for additional damage and enhances other skills.
By focusing on these skills, you can fully unlock Chixia's potential and make her a powerful fighter on the battlefield.
As a pistol wielder, Chixia excels at long-range attacks. To play this hero effectively, you should master the Forte Circuit system, which might seem confusing at first.
First, you need to repeatedly use basic attacks and the resonance skill to fill the stamina gauge to the maximum. By using these attacks, you gain thermobaric bullets that will be used in her strong cycle. It is useful to wait until her introductory skill is fully charged before switching to Chixia.
Once the stamina gauge is filled, you can unleash a powerful barrage of bullets dealing fusion damage by holding the Resonance skill. After using at least 30 bullets, you can use the basic attack for a finishing blow that will end this mode. Then return to using basic attacks and the Resonance skill to recharge the stamina gauge and repeat the cycle.
If you plan to use Chixia in the long term, you should try to obtain her duplicates. This will allow you to unlock nodes in her resonance chain, especially the fourth node. This bonus will instantly fill your thermobaric bullets and reset the cooldown of her resonance skill when using Chixia's resonance release, significantly enhancing her ability to deal consistent and powerful damage.
