FromSoftware games have many quests. However, they are not recorded in a journal, and no one explains where to go and what to do to complete them. You have to figure everything out yourself. But if you delay completing a side quest, there is a risk of failing it. For example, at some point, the game world may change, and old locations will no longer be accessible. In this guide, we will explain how to complete the storyline of Igon and the Dragon Priestess in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring.
First, head to the Site of Grace called Roadside Rest by the Columns.
The guy is located a bit west of the indicated point. Talk to him. It's important to hear all his dialogues.
Then move south. A red phantom, resembling a dragonborn, will attack you. Kill him. Then continue running south until you see a dungeon called Dragon Pit.
Go through it to the end and defeat the boss of the location. You can take the Dragon Slayer Katana from his corpse. It will help you during the battle with Bael. Exit the dungeon.
Head east to the Site of Grace called Jagged Mountain Foothill. You will first have to run along the road and then move along the edge of the cliff. After that, use the air stream to soar up. Cross the suspension bridge.
From the Site of Grace, head east. There you will see a fight between two dragons. It's important that both ancient lizards are killed. You can wait to see how the duel ends and finish off the stronger one, or join their battle.
After the monsters die, take their hearts and talk to Igon, who will be nearby. He will give you his finger and offer help during the battle with Bael the Terrible.
You need to find and activate the Site of Grace called Great Dragon Communion Altar. It is located southeast of the Last Rest in the Dragon Pit.
To the right, you will see the priestess you need to talk to.
She will give you protective charms called Ancient Dragon's Blessing. This magic can be useful during the battle with Bael.
The quest has two endings. To get the first one, head east to the Site of Grace called Jagged Mountain Slope. You will have to run through the crevice between the rocks and dodge falling boulders. On the way, you will encounter the Ancient Dragon Senessax, but killing him is not necessary.
From the Site of Grace, run southwest. Along the way, you will have to soar higher on air streams and dodge lightning. Eventually, you will reach the dragon known as Bael the Terrible. Defeat him. After defeating the lizard, return to the place where the priestess was. There you will find her heart.
You can return to the place of the second meeting with Igon to take his bow and armor.
With the heart, you will be able to transform into a dragonborn. This is just one of two ways to change your appearance. You can learn about the second way from our guide on the puzzles related to paintings.
After talking to the priestess, do not go in search of Bael the Terrible. Instead, first move to the Site of Grace called Crossroads at Main Roads.
Talk to Murt to get the Black Sap. After that, move to the Crossroad at the Road with Columns.
There you need to find Tiolye. Say that you feel tired, and he will give you a potion used as a sleeping aid. If by that time you have already defeated the two dragons and received Igon's finger, return to the priestess. Fast forward time to night and use Tiolye's potion on the girl.
Then rest near the Site of Grace and talk to the priestess again.
Only now should you go to Bael and kill him. After that, return to the girl. She will be in place and will give you the spell Dragon Lightning of Florissax. In addition, you will be able to summon the priestess as an ally during battles.
The ability to transform into a dragon-man provides additional protection and increases the effectiveness of dragon prayers. Keep in mind that you need to remove all clothing beforehand.
The spell called Dragon Lightning of Florissax will provide you with protection that reduces incoming damage by 10%. The effect lasts for one minute.
The Stone Flower Hammer you receive from the priestess is a mace suitable for mages. Its effectiveness depends on your sorcery, strength, and dexterity parameters. Its Ash of War allows you to strike with lightning at a great distance.
Igon's Great Bow deals massive damage at a distance. The Ash of War adds a special cry that increases the attack power of each arrow.
