A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a new game set in the same universe as the A Quiet Place films. The novelty of this game is its unique feature where monsters and the environment react to real-life sounds from your microphone. In this walkthrough, we will help you overcome all obstacles quickly so you can survive and help Alex reach her goal.

How to Find Martin

You play as a girl named Alex. After a brief conversation with Martin, he will leave. Follow him. Crouch to crawl under the rock.

Climb over a small obstacle, then walk through the puddles. You will be taught the mechanics of sound. Continue along the path until you need to jump over a rock again. At the fork, turn left. Ahead will be a house, the door of which will open with the wind.

Enter and squeeze between the cabinet on the right. All active points are marked with yellow paint, so you won't miss them. In the next room, quietly open the door. Jump into the hatch ahead to get under the house. Move along the only route to climb out through a similar hatch in another part of the house, then jump over the windowsill. Martin will appear immediately, and a cutscene will start. Watch it, after which time will skip forward.

How to Find the Screwdriver

Alex and Martin need to find supplies for the hospital. Once you are in the yard of the house, go straight to the stairs. There is a note on the bench to the right. Go left until you see an open entrance to the house on the right. Once inside, turn right.

Go to the end to find another note on the table. Turn left and go back a bit, there will be stairs to the second floor. Immediately inspect the table on the left — a note. Turn left down the corridor.

On the right, past the cabinet, there will be a hole in the wall — go there. Once on the roof, crawl along the wall on the right and climb through the window. Exit the room and pick up the screwdriver on the dresser to the left.

How to Find the Pills

The passage on the right is blocked by a cabinet, but you can crawl through. This will bring you back to the corridor where the hole was.

Go to the end and unscrew the bolts on the ventilation grate with the screwdriver. Once inside, crawl left all the way to pick up the bronze shuttle. Now go back and to the end. Passing the entry point into the ventilation, you will eventually enter a new room. Turn left and watch a short cutscene, after which the task will update — you need to find the pills. In the same room, pick up the note. At the exit, inspect the wall on the left — there is a key hanging there.

In the next room, there is a door. Move the latch and quietly open it. You will return to the first floor. Go up the familiar stairs again and walk down the hallway to the left. Opposite the hole in the wall is room number 4, the key will open the lock. Immediately inspect the dresser on the left and take the audio cassette. There is also a note to the right of the bed, and another one in the next room.

There is a hole in the floor, go down. Here you will find the pills.

After the cutscene, open the latch on the door and exit. Alex will meet Martin. Follow the guy to the basement. Light the candles. There are also many notes here that you can read. Talk to Martin, you will be taught the mechanics of stress and asthma for the main character, after which a cutscene will start.

Follow Martin to the exit of the house. Climb over the tree. A cutscene will start, after which the prologue will end.

How to Prepare for the Escape

When you gain control, inspect Alex's room — there are many notes.

Exit and go to the right. Crawl between the mattress and continue down the hallway. At the fork, turn left and go down the stairs. Then turn left again to the end of the hallway, and then to the right. On the right, there will be an unlocked door. Inside, take the batteries and pills.

Exit the room and continue down the hallway. When the task updates, return to the room using the objective marker. After the mattress you already crawled through, there is an open door. This is Alex's father's room. On the table is a suitcase with many asthma canisters.

Return to your room and watch the scene. After it, unscrew the bolts on the ventilation grate with a screwdriver. Alex's father will come and help the girl get out. Follow him. Once in the shaft, follow the only path. When you get out, turn right and pick up the pills. From this moment, the sounds from your microphone matter.

How to Escape from Monsters in the Hospital

Quietly open the door ahead. Move forward and after a new portion of training, crouch. Crawl under the barrier and quietly open the door.

Move the barrel aside to open the path. Climb through the window and pick up the pills in the left corner. On the right, there will be a place where you can crawl through. Then turn right. Climb onto the boxes and unscrew the bolts on the grate.

Crawl through the ventilation to another room. Exit and turn right. Go down the stairs, and shortly after, a monster will appear.

Wait for it to pass by and proceed to the end of the hallway, then turn left. Open the door. There you can crawl through the ventilation again. Once out, pick up the key from the table, as well as the shuttle on the table to the right. Open the latch on the door to the left and exit. Now turn left and return to the room where you climbed into the ventilation. Open the door with the found key. Turn left and go into the open room. Carefully pass by the noisy objects to the door on the left.

After a short cutscene, go around the glass in the center and head left. Go down the stairs to the basement. You will find yourself in an underground garage. Carefully squeeze between the column and the car, a cutscene will start. You need to pass by the monster without making any noise. It's also important to watch your step, as water and puddles are quite noisy. Carefully bypass all obstacles to reach the door marked Exit. The episode is complete.

How to Find the Rails

When you find yourself in the forest, jump off the ledge. Your task is to find the rails. Ahead is an illuminated information board.

From there, go left and forward, under the fallen tree. Turn left after the red-painted box shuttle. Now go right and climb over the small tree. Eventually, you will see the rails glowing red. Descend to them.

How to Overcome the Road Break

To the right is a building, go around it from the left side and climb through the break. Ahead is a large hole in the floor. Go to the door, pick up the canister, and climb over the wall. There you will find another note and a key.

Climb back and go through the break in the wall. To the right is a grate with a lock. Use the key and carefully open it. Climb onto the container and make your way into the house from the other side of the hole in the floor. Examine the table on the right. Now you can open the door on the left and take the board from the room where you found the key. Place the board over the hole to ensure a quick passage.

Take the board and exit the house to the rail break on the right. Place the board in the necessary spot and make your way to the opposite side. Move forward and left, you will see a box you can climb. Climb over the obstacle and go to the end of the tunnel. You can't go forward, so turn left.

How to Pass Through the Forest

Follow the path through the forest until a cutscene starts. After it, you will need to sneak past the monster.

Keep to the left, then turn right to descend the ledge. Continue towards the lanterns. Eventually, you will reach a structure, the path leads through a fallen log, crawl under it and make your way through the hole in the grate.

You will have to go through the house. Walk around the abandoned cars and you will see the entrance to the basement. You will find yourself in a shelter. Light the candles and gather all available consumables. After that, you can move the mattress to proceed further.

Once in the house, you can look around or immediately go up the stairs to the second floor. Head towards the window, after which a cutscene will start. Once on the ground with the monster, pick up a stone. You can throw it to distract the creature, or you can just wait for it to move aside.

Move forward so that the gap where you need to place the board is on the right. Crawl under the boards and you will see a large board. You need to take it and drag it to the gap. The board can be placed in certain spots to pick it up from the other side later. Use this and distract the monster with stones to reach your goal. Climb over the boxes and you will find yourself on the rails again.

Move forward to the wagon, then examine the map on the wall to the left. Alex will dive into memories.

You are back on the first day of the monsters' appearance, right after the prologue. Follow Laura. Upon reaching the house, Laura will ask you to get some beer. Head to the van on the right to get a crate. Place it on the table, after which Alex will call Martin. Talk to him and go into the house to help find a bottle opener. Examine the table and the record. After the dialogue, go up to the second floor. You need to find the hanging ladder. Go to the end of the corridor and turn left — this is Martin's room. Take the ladder and bring it to him. On the attic, pick up the shuttle from the table. Examine the records in the cabinet and watch the cutscene.

How to Find Father

You are back in the forest. Head to the signpost, then left to the illuminated grate. Open the door. There will be traps on the right that you need to carefully bypass.

Logs are ahead. There is a trap on the left and barrels on the right. Approach the trap and look to the right. You can crawl through there. Continue forward until you see a gate. Approach it and climb the boxes on the left. Once behind the gate, move forward slowly. When you see a tripwire, you can crawl through on the right. Ahead will be more traps and snares. Keep to the left and you will see boxes. Climb over the fence. Ahead will be a canister, but you need to go left.

The box is guarded by traps. Complete the mini-game to avoid getting caught. Take a bottle nearby and throw it into the trap. A monster will appear; you need to wait for it to not react. Climb onto the box and then higher over the fence. Open the door to the house ahead, take the canisters from the dresser on the left, then go to the next room. Watch the cutscene with your father.
