MacBook Air with M4 Unveiled — More Powerful and More Affordable

Apple has introduced updated MacBook Air models that combine increased performance with a lower price tag. Available starting March 12, the new devices not only feature the high-end M4 processor but also a revised pricing strategy, making them more appealing to a broader audience.

Both the 13-inch and 15-inch versions are powered by the M4 chip, which previously debuted in MacBook Pro and iMac models. According to Apple, the 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU deliver twice the speed of the M1-powered MacBook Air. Special attention has been given to the neural engine, significantly accelerating AI-driven tasks such as automatic photo retouching and noise reduction in videos — up to three times faster than before.

For the first time, the MacBook Air supports simultaneous connection to two external 6K displays without requiring the laptop lid to be closed — a feature previously reserved for higher-end models. The upgraded 12MP Center Stage camera now includes Desk View mode, which streams a distortion-free view of the workspace, making it ideal for online presentations.

Despite maintaining the same external design as its predecessors, the internal upgrades are substantial: up to 32GB of RAM, up to 2TB of SSD storage, and up to 18 hours of battery life. Fast charging allows the battery to reach 50% in just 30 minutes.

Pricing starts at $999 for the 13-inch model, while the 15-inch version is available from $1,199 — $100 less than the previous generation. The top-tier configuration with expanded memory is priced at $1,599. Pre-orders are now open on Apple’s official website, with the first shipments scheduled for March 12.
