Disney reveals first frame of the animated film Mufasa: The Lion King

Walt Disney Pictures has released the first frame of the upcoming computer-animated film «Mufasa: The Lion King,» which serves as a prequel to the 2019 «The Lion King».

The image features the main character Mufasa, who is known to be the future father of Simba from the original animated film.

«Mufasa: The Lion King» will be entirely made of CGI graphics. The plot will delve into the past of Mufasa and his evil brother Scar. The movie will also feature Pumbaa, Timon, and Kiara (the daughter of Simba and Nala). The narrative will be presented in the format of a story about Simba's father and how he became the king of the Pride Lands.

The premiere is set for December 20, 2024.
