Disney teases new Snow White starring Gal Gadot as evil stepmother

At the D23 Expo, Disney unveiled the first teaser for the new adaptation of Snow White. Rachel Zegler stars as the title character, while Gal Gadot plays the evil queen stepmother.

According to the screenwriters, the new film will be closer to a musical due to the large number of songs. The film itself has been quite problematic for Disney — in 2020, production had to be postponed due to the pandemic, and in 2022, a fire broke out on the set, which forced them to make adjustments to the schedule again. In addition, the studio faced strong criticism after the first teaser for the film in 2022: many viewers did not like the choice of actress for the role of Snow White. According to rumors, after this, the studio decided to reshoot part of the film.

The new Snow White will be released on March 21, 2025. Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson were responsible for the script, and Marc Webb was the director.
