Rumor: Ada Wong will appear in the new Resident Evil film
The Geek Vibes Nation publication shared a selection of rumors about the new Resident Evil film, which is allegedly being developed by Constantin Film, known for its film adaptations with Milla Jovovich. In addition to the feature film, a Netflix series is in development.
According to the portal, the film will be a prequel to Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, based on the events of Resident Evil Zero. Presumably, the cast will be announced in October, and filming will take place in Canada. The premiere is scheduled for 2025.
Other film adaptation details:
- The film's budget will be $30 million;
- The main character will be Billy Cohen;
- Ada Wong will appear in the film;
- The film will be a «faithful adaptation of Resident Evil Zero.»
In addition, according to rumors, Constantin Film is developing a Resident Evil series for Netflix. The show will take place in a world devastated by the T-virus, and the main character will be Marcus' daughter. Filming is due to start in 2025.
