A brutal trailer for the Terminator Zero anime has been released

Judging by the footage, viewers can expect a canonically brutal work based on the Terminator universe. By the way, the creators of the anime have added an interesting innovation in the form of a crossbow built into the hand, which is used by one of the cyborgs.

The events of the animated series will unfold in Japan in 1997, where a terminator from the future will arrive. The cyborg's target will be scientist Malcolm Lee, who is working on artificial intelligence — a competitor to Skynet. The show is being produced by Production I.G, the studio that once made Ghost in the Shell.

Terminator Zero will be released on August 29 on Netflix, all eight episodes will be available.

Meanwhile, a full-length anime film based on The Lord of the Rings is being prepared for release in cinemas.
