In May, Amazon announced a Tomb Raider series, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge working on the project. Deadline has already uncovered which actresses might play Lara Croft.
The first two candidates for the role of Lara Croft are Sophie Turner, known for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, and Lucy Boynton, who portrayed Mary Austin in Bohemian Rhapsody.
The actresses are currently preparing for auditions. It remains unclear which other actresses might be considered for the role. The series is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
Previously, Lara Croft was portrayed by Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in the Tomb Raider films.
Additionally, this month saw the premiere of the animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.
