James Gunn's Creature Commandos Premieres on HBO Max
HBO Max has launched the premiere of the animated series Creature Commandos, a new project for DC from the creator of Guardians of the Galaxy, James Gunn. This is the director's first film released as part of the updated cinematic universe.
Viewers can expect a familiar variation on the theme of Suicide Squad with no less brutality. Amanda Waller once again assembles a team of notorious criminals, this time choosing various creatures and monsters instead of people. The new group includes everyone who is not a pity — amphibian scientist Nina Mazurskaya, Eric Frankenstein, the Bride, Doctor Phosphorus, Robot, Weasel (appeared in Suicide Squad 2021) and other unusual creatures. The motley crew is led by Rick Flag Sr.
The main roles in the series were voiced by Maria Bakalova, Sean Gunn, Anya Chalotra, Frank Grillo, David Harbour, Alan Tudyk and Viola Davis. The first two episodes of Creature Commandos are available for viewing, the next one will be released on December 12. There will be seven episodes in the season.
Earlier, we recall, the filming of The Mandalorian and Grogu, where Sigourney Weaver played, was completed.
