The Wrap: Chris Evans to Appear in Avengers: Doomsday

Chris Evans is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to The Wrap. The actor will appear in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, though details about his role remain unknown.

Evans is best known for portraying Captain America, but sources have not confirmed whether he will reprise the same role. Notably, Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly set to play Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man in the film.

It’s also unclear if other Avengers stars will return to Marvel. Previous reports suggested that Scarlett Johansson’s involvement has also been discussed.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
