Rumor: Sacha Baron Cohen to Play the Main Villain in Spider-Man 4

Journalist and insider Jeff Sneider has shared new rumors about Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland. According to him, the movie’s main villain will be Mephisto, a powerful demon and arch-enemy of Ghost Rider.

Interestingly, the role of the villain is reportedly going to Sacha Baron Cohen. While many viewers know him for comedic roles in Borat, The Dictator, and The Brothers Grimsby, the actor has also tackled more serious parts. In 2021, he was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in The Trial of the Chicago 7.

Marvel seems to have high hopes for Mephisto. Initially, the character was set to debut in the Agatha All Along series, but his first appearance is now rumored to be in the Ironheart show.

Sneider also mentioned that Charlie Cox and Zendaya will appear in the movie. However, Zendaya’s screen time may be limited due to her commitments to Euphoria and Dune: Part Three.

Spider-Man 4 is set to release on July 26, 2026. The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
