It's Official: The Fourth Sonic the Hedgehog Movie is in Development
Recently, rumors have been circulating online that Paramount Pictures might be working on the fourth installment of Sonic the Hedgehog. Now, it's officially confirmed. The film is indeed in development.
The premiere is scheduled for spring 2027. No further details have been disclosed yet.
As a reminder, the premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is set for December 20. Some sources who have had an early look at the film suggest that its ending might hint at a new character.
The current Metacritic score for the third film stands at 60. Jim Carrey reprises his role as Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. Additionally, characters played by James Marsden and Tika Sumpter have also returned.
The director is Jeff Fowler, who helmed the previous installments.
