DC Studios Greenlights Constantine 2 Script, Says Keanu Reeves

It looks like a Constantine sequel is really happening – Keanu Reeves, the lead actor, has returned with good news. The plot for the sequel is ready and approved by the bosses at DC Studios.

In an interview with Inverse, the actor said that he and director Francis Lawrence have drafted a rough script for the film. Judging by his words, Constantine is in for even more trials:

We've been trying to make this film for over a decade, and we just recently put a story together and pitched it to DC Studios and they said, "Okay". So, we're going to try and write a script. We're not going off that [original concept], John Constantine's going to be tortured even more.

Keanu Reeves confirmed that the sequel will be in the spirit of the 2005 film. However, he did not share any details or an approximate premiere date.

Earlier, the actor said that he might leave the John Wick franchise due to his age – Keanu Reeves recently turned 60. However, he did take part in the second season of Severance, making a cameo appearance.
