Jason Schreier: Warner Bros. Rejected Constantine Game Idea From Gotham Knights Developers

As Bloomberg columnist Jason Schreier has learned, Warner Bros. Games was planning to expand the DC gaming universe. However, the Flash game was canceled, and the John Constantine project was not approved.

After the release of the mediocre Gotham Knights in 2022, WB Games Montreal proposed making an action game based on the Constantine comics. The management, led by David Haddad, was delighted with the idea. However, when asked to approve the timing and budget, the vice president of Warner Bros. Games withdrew and the project was not approved.

Then the Montreal studio proposed a Flash game. Apparently, the project was in its early stages when the failed film with Ezra Miller was released in 2023. Warner Bros. canceled the game's development.

According to Jason Schreier, WB Games Montreal is currently helping Monolith Productions with the Wonder Woman action game and is working on a Game of Thrones-based project.

The Bloomberg columnist also confirmed in his report the development of Hogwarts Legacy: Definitive Edition with additional content. According to him, Avalanche Software is already working on a sequel to the fantasy RPG action game. However, Jason Schreier doubts that the studio will achieve the success of the first part.

Earlier, we recall, he spoke about the situation around the development of Wonder Woman and hinted at a new Batman game from Rocksteady.
