Official: Nicolas Cage to Play Noir Spider-Man

Nicolas Cage will play Noir Spider-Man in an upcoming Amazon series, as reported by Variety.
The actor had been discussing the potential role since March. Cage previously voiced the character in the animated film «Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.»

«Noir» will tell the story of an aging private detective and the only superhero in 1930s New York City. The showrunners will be Oren Uziel, one of the writers of the film «Mortal Kombat,» and Steve Lightfoot, who worked on «The Punisher,» "Narcos," and «Hannibal.»
Previously, Nicolas Cage participated in the filming of «The Flash» to play Superman. The actor had dreamed of playing the Kryptonian since the 90s.
