Players Have Bombarded All Ubisoft Videos on Assassin's Creed: Shadows Due to Jasuke

Many fans were disappointed with the announcement of Assassin's Creed: Shadows. According to the browser extension Return YouTube Dislike, all videos on Ubisoft's official channels have garnered more dislikes than likes.

Notably, the worst like-to-dislike ratio is on the Japanese version of the trailer. Viewers criticized the choice of a black Yasuke as one of the main characters, stating that «all western game developers hate Japanese culture.»

AC Brotherhood = italian theme, italian person ️

AC Chronicle (china, india, russia theme) = chinese person, indian person, russian person ️

AC Valhalla = Vikings theme, norse person ️

Ubisoft considers it racist to make a game based in Japan star Japanese people.

It's kinda comical how these western studios always dig through history books to find that one historical case that will help them justify their agenda to add a black dude/"strong independant woman"/diversity to everything lol

Meanwhile, Reddit users noticed that after the game's announcement, some fans began editing the English article about Yasuke on Wikipedia. It is not definitively known whether Yasuke was ever granted the rank or title of samurai.

Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be released on November 15 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. The first gameplay is likely to be shown at the June Ubisoft Forward presentation.
