The creators of The Last of Us series are already thinking about the fourth season

The next season of The Last of Us will include only seven episodes, reports Deadline. According to screenwriters Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the plot of the second part is very large, so it will be divided into several chapters.
We don't think that we're going to be able to tell the story even within two seasons [2 and 3] because we're taking our time and go down interesting pathways which we did a little bit in Season 1 too. [...] One thing is absolutely for sure, I don't see how we could tell the story that remains after Season 2 is complete in one more season.
The creators also mentioned that the third season of the show will be «significantly larger» than the second. Judging by recent footage from the set, the second season will be entirely dedicated to the hunt for Abby and will end with a scene in the theater.
The premiere of the second season will take place in the first half of 2025. Earlier, a reliable insider reported that Sony has already completed work on the PC version of The Last of Us: Part 2.
