Paradox canceled the life simulator Life By You — the game was planned to be released in early June

Life By You, a promising life simulator from Paradox, has been officially canceled. Early access was supposed to start in early June, but the company realized that the game was still far from being ready for release.

The development of Life By You started several years ago. The game was being worked on by the Paradox Tectonic studio under the leadership of Rod Humble, one of the creators of The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. According to Paradox, the company was inspired by the project's potential: the developers planned to create an open world without loading screens and official mod support with NSFW content.

A few weeks ago, the management postponed the release of Life By You indefinitely to review their plans. Ultimately, the company decided that refining the game would take too much time, which it was not willing to spend.

Life by You had a number of strengths and the hard work of a dedicated team that went into realizing them. However, when we come to a point where we believe that more time will not get us close enough to a version we would be satisfied with, then we believe it is better to stop. This is obviously tough and disappointing for everyone who poured their time and enthusiasm into this project, especially when our decision comes so late in the process.

Let us remind you that another life simulator called inZOI is currently in development. The game is being worked on by Krafton.
