The medieval sandbox Pax Dei has been released in Steam Early Access. The game is developed by Mainframe Industries, which includes veterans from CCP, Blizzard Entertainment, Ubisoft, and Remedy.

Pax Dei is described as a «social sandbox MMO» where players can build houses, explore a vast world of 300 km², craft items, and fight for treasures. One of the distinctive features is that participants can create clans, establish their own settlements, and wage wars—or strive to maintain peace.

Early access will last at least until June 2025. Future updates are expected to improve the combat system and crafting, as well as add trading.

According to SteamDB, the online player count in Pax Dei has already surpassed 7,000 and continues to grow. It is worth noting that at the time of writing, the game has no user reviews.

The standard edition costs $40. The developers have warned that after early access, the game will introduce a monthly subscription.
