Gamer found his late dad in State of Decay 2

Gamer EmbarrassedBudget shared that the creators of State of Decay 2 immortalized the memory of his late father by adding him to the game. He shared his story on Reddit.

The redditor's father passed away three years ago. Trying to cope with the grief, the player wrote to Undead Labs, and they added the relative's name to the zombie survival game. Thanks to this, players can encounter a survivor named Bruce Allen Buncombe.

EmbarrassedBudget found his relative only recently. As it turned out, the authors didn't just add the name — the virtual character has the same facial features and biography. «My heart skipped a beat when I saw his name,» wrote EmbarrassedBudget.

The developers have already seen the post and wrote that they were happy to help the gamer. «I seriously love you all so much. I'm sure it was a pain to do but I'm glad you guys added his name to the game,» responded EmbarrassedBudget.

Currently, Undead Labs is working on the third part of State of Decay — the latest trailer of the game was shown at the Xbox presentation.
