A major update has been released for Steam, adding a game recording feature
Valve has officially added a game recording feature to Steam. It is currently only available in the beta client, but will soon be available in the main version.
With the new functionality, users will be able to record clips in the background, cut out the most spectacular moments, and share them with friends. Videos can also be easily sent to mobile devices.
All clips have a timeline where users can place custom markers. Games with enhanced timeline support (such as Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2) include unique markers that are automatically placed. This way, players can easily find moments when, for example, the team planted the C4 or took Roshan.
To participate in the beta testing, simply open Settings and click the corresponding button in the Interface tab.
