Players demand the cancellation of Assassin's Creed: Shadows. The petition has garnered 25,000 signatures
Haters of Assassin's Creed: Shadows have grown tired of criticizing the game and have begun taking more decisive actions. As noted by the media, a petition demanding the cancellation of the action game's development appeared on Change.org in June.
The petition is written in Japanese by a user named Toru Shimizu. He complained about the disrespect towards Japanese culture and issues with historical accuracy. He also stated that the first European samurai was William Adams — his story was depicted in the series Shogun.
At the time of writing this note, the petition has 25,000 signatures. Ubisoft has not yet responded to the incident.
Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be released on November 15 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. It was previously reported that Ubisoft is working on remakes of several parts of the series.
