Ubisoft is making remakes of several Assassin's Creed installments
Ubisoft is currently developing several Assassin's Creed remakes. This was revealed by Yves Guillemot, the head of the French company. He did not share any details about the projects.
So far, only one remake is known. According to insider Tom Henderson, the company is working on an updated Assassin's Creed 4. The project is being built on the Anvil Pipeline engine.
It's worth mentioning that Ubisoft is also working on remakes of Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The updated Prince of Persia will be released in 2026 — this was announced at Ubisoft Forward.
As a reminder, Assassin's Creed: Shadows, the new main installment of the series, will be released in the fall of 2024. The game will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on November 15th.
