Metacritic continues to summarize the first half of 2024. The rating aggregator website has released two top lists — the best films and TV series released from January 1 to June 30.
The list was compiled based on the average score from critics. The best film was the comedy by the Romanian director Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World, while the top five shows included the thriller about a stalker Deer, the historical drama Shogun, and the animated series X-Men '97.
