Metacritic named the TOP-20 best games of the first half of 2024. Stellar Blade is not on the list

The Metacritic website has started summarizing the interim results of 2024 by compiling a list of the best games for the first six months. Rankings were awarded based on the average score.

The publication immediately noted that Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree with 95 points is not on the list, as it is an expansion, not a standalone game. Re-releases, ports, and mobile games were also not included in the selection.

First place was taken by the new remake of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (92). In second place was the metroidvania Animal Well (91), and in third place was the roguelike poker game Balatro (90).

Notably, Stellar Blade did not make the list. The erotic slasher scored only 81 points, but its user rating is 9.2 out of 10.
