Warner Bros. released an adult animated film based on Alan Moore's Watchmen

The digital release of Watchmen Chapter I, the first part of the animated film based on Alan Moore's comic books, has taken place online. The adaptation received an adult R rating for violent scenes.
The events of Watchmen unfold in an alternate world where superheroes have been outlawed. In 1985, the murder of one of the crime fighters triggers a chain of events that leads the heroes to a grim conspiracy.
The adaptation was worked on by director Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood) and J. Michael Straczynski (Changeling). The new Watchmen has no rating yet, but the IGN website gave it 8 points.
