Actress Playing Abby in The Last of Us Season 2 Gets Extra Security Due to Haters
In 2020, when The Last of Us: Part 2 was released, many players hated the second main character, Abby Anderson, so much that they began to threaten the real voice actress. In response, the creators of the eponymous series took measures to protect Kaitlyn Dever, who will play the controversial character.
This information was shared by Isabela Merced, who plays Dina. According to her, during the filming of the second season, Kaitlyn Dever had additional security to ensure her safety.
There are so many strange people in this world. There are people that actually genuinely hate Abby, who is not a real person. Just a reminder, not a real person. And so Kaitlyn had to be extra secured by security when it came to the filming of this.
The actress added that the filming of the second season will wrap up very soon. The team already has a small teaser, which will be shown in the near future.
The premiere of the second season will take place in the first half of 2025. There will be a total of seven episodes.
