The authors of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 showcased gameplay of the first mission
Xbox held its own presentation as part of Gamescom 2024, where it showcased several of its upcoming games. One of them was S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Game designer Yevhen Grigorovych presented fresh gameplay, allowing a look at the first minutes of the game.
The footage is dedicated to the completion of the first quest called There and Back Again. In it, the main character Skif activates the Topaz scanner — it was shown back in the 2022 trailer — and sneaks through a destroyed wall. Behind it, he encounters a group of bandits, after which an intense shootout begins.
The authors also showed several small clips where you can see the weapon upgrade menu and a battle with a bloodsucker.
The demo version of the game is available to all visitors of the exhibition. Digital Foundry employee John Linneman has already stated that the game looks great, and the console version includes only one graphics mode — but with 60 FPS.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be released on November 20 on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
