Metal Gear Solid Delta gets fresh screenshots and details
New impressions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, shown to journalists at Gamescom 2024, are starting to appear online. In short, fans can expect the old adventure with minimal changes and fantastic graphics.
IGN reports that Delta copies the original almost frame by frame: the level design is the same, soldiers patrol the old routes, and the game map is divided into levels with loading screens. According to the developers, they did not add a seamless map because they would have had to remake the game from scratch and deviate from Hideo Kojima's original concept.
At the same time, the authors significantly improved the controls (Snake finally learned to crouch-walk) and reworked the codec, which now has speed dial. The remake also made camouflage switching more convenient and added a damage system on the hero's body.
