Telegram allowed users to report content in private chats

The Telegram administration has revised content moderation rules following Pavel Durov's detention. Now, users of private groups can report inappropriate content.

The new rules are published in the frequently asked questions section. Previously, it was stated there that the administration does not moderate the content of private chats, but now the opposite is claimed. A «Report» button has appeared in chats, allowing users to send a message for review. Complaints can also be sent to the email abuse@telegram.org.

Earlier, Pavel Durov commented on his arrest in France for the first time. The businessman promised to improve methods of combating criminals and thanked readers for the memes.
