Due to the update on PS5, a lot of unnecessary ads have appeared, and players cannot disable it

A new firmware has been released for PlayStation 5, adding a hub with various widgets to the main screen. Players are already criticizing the update — as it turned out, it brought a ton of unnecessary ads to the console.

The changes affected game covers. Previously, when selecting a title, the user saw colorful art, but now the console shows press ratings and frames from trailers.

Gamers met the update with hostility, as they do not understand why they need to advertise games they already own. Some believe that this is just a bug that will soon be fixed.
