AI, enhanced performance, and additional colors — Apple unveils the new iPad mini
Apple has announced the new seventh-generation iPad mini. The tablet features an 8,3-inch IPS display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2266×1488 pixels. Among the innovations is the new, more powerful A17 Pro processor, which is also found in the iPhone 15 Pro.
Thanks to the A17 Pro chip, the tablet supports Apple Intelligence AI and new features, including an improved Siri voice assistant, smart photo editing, and text writing tools.
There is also support for the Apple Pencil Pro stylus. The new iPad mini is available in four colors (blue, purple, space gray, and starlight).
Other specifications include:

- Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and 5G;
- RAM: 8 GB;
- Storage: 128, 256, or 512 GB;
- Battery: 19,3 Wh;
- Cameras: 12 MP main and 12 MP front;
- Dimensions: 195,4 × 134,8 × 6,3 mm;
- Weight: 293 g.
The new iPad mini starts at $499 for the Wi-Fi version with 128 GB of storage and $649 for the 5G version. Sales begin on October 23.
