Indie studio Sonka has joined Steam's October festival, releasing a demo for the pixel-art horror game Holstin. The game is set in an alternate 1990s Poland, overtaken by an infection that turns all living things into decaying corpses.
The story follows the main character as he tries to find his missing friend and escape the cursed town together. The game's standout feature is an innovative combat system that allows players to switch between an isometric view and third-person perspective.
You can try the Holstin demo here. Additionally, the atmospheric survival game Permafrost is also available during the festival.
