Speedollama, a retro platformer about mercenary llamas, released on Steam and consoles
The old-school game Speedollama has been released on PC and consoles. It is a pixelated platformer with shooter elements reminiscent of 80s and 90s projects. The game draws inspiration from titles like Metal Slug, Turrican, Broforce, Mercenary Kings, and Pizza Tower.
The story follows a group of elite mercenaries tasked with eliminating hostile alpacas who aim to exterminate llamas. Players can choose from three characters, explore nine areas (each containing 36 procedurally generated levels and 8 bonus levels), face nine bosses, and utilize 23 different upgrades.
Key features include a very fast and dynamic gameplay along with quirky humor.
«Speedollama is a fast-paced platformer-shooter that sets a new speed standard for the genre», — reads the description.
Speedollama is available on Steam, PS Store (PS4 and PS5), Xbox Store (Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S), and Nintendo eShop (Switch). A demo version is also available.
