iOS 18.1 released with Apple Intelligence AI features and bug fixes

Apple has rolled out iOS 18.1, the latest version of its operating system, which includes the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence AI features. The update is approximately 7 GB in size (for AI-supported iPhone models) and comes with a host of important fixes.

The Apple Intelligence features are available on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, users with older iPhone models, starting from the XS and XR, can also download iOS 18.1.

In addition to AI, iOS 18.1 introduces an enhanced «Hearing Check» feature for AirPods. Moreover, the camera controller now allows for quick switching to the front TrueDepth camera (available on the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max).

The new spatial camera mode enables the capture of spatial photos and videos (available on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max).

Siri capabilities have also been improved, and several bugs have been fixed. Notably, the update addresses an issue that could cause unexpected reboots on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro.

To download iOS 18.1, go to «Settings,» open the «General» menu, and navigate to «Software Update». Alongside iOS 18.1, Apple has also released iPadOS 18.1.
