THR: Warner Bros. Reportedly Developing a Game of Thrones Movie
Warner Bros. is reportedly working on a Game of Thrones film in secret, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project is still in the very early stages of development.
The company has yet to find a director, cast, or screenwriter but is said to be highly enthusiastic about the idea. Originally, the showrunners of the Game of Thrones series planned to wrap up the story with three major films, though Warner Bros. shut down those projects at the time.
Currently, several Game of Thrones projects are in the works, aside from House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Previously, a full series focused on Jon Snow was also in development, but it was ultimately canceled.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Sophie Turner, known for her role as Sansa, may be in talks to play Lara Croft.
