After 20 Years, Konami Reveals One of Metal Gear Solid 3's Biggest Secrets
Metal Gear Solid 3 was released in 2004, and for two decades, players had no idea which actress voiced Eva. Now, 20 years later, Konami has revealed that Hollywood star Jodi Benson was hidden behind the mysterious pseudonym Suzetta Minet.
The announcement came in a special video dedicated to the Metal Gear Solid Delta remake. Jodi Benson is best known for voicing Ariel, the Little Mermaid, in Disney films and the Kingdom Hearts series. She also played Helen of Troy in Hercules and Barbie in Toy Story.
As it turns out, the decision to use a pseudonym came from the game's sound director. Since Jodi Benson mainly worked on family-friendly projects, she was encouraged to adopt an alias. The name was inspired by her childhood dog, Suzetta Monet, with a slight alteration.
The Metal Gear Solid 3 remake does not yet have a set release date. Recently, the creators shared 11 minutes of gameplay footage.
