Amazon to release Mass Effect series with Fast & Furious 9 writer onboard
According to Variety, Amazon is developing a series based on the sci-fi RPG franchise Mass Effect. The script is being penned by Daniel Casey, who previously worked on the action-packed Fast & Furious 9.
The executive producers for the series are Karim Zreik, Ari Arad, and Michael Gamble. The production is being handled by Amazon MGM Studios.
Details about the plot and cast remain under wraps for now.
As a reminder, yesterday (November 7) was N7 Day, celebrated annually by Mass Effect fans. The series first debuted in 2007. In 2017, Mass Effect: Andromeda was released, though it didn't receive as high praise as the original trilogy. Its current Steam rating stands at 75%.
Interestingly, a new game is currently in development and is a top priority for BioWare.
