Double Kills and Hiding in Shadows: Updated Stealth Details in Assassin's Creed: Shadows
The developers of Assassin's Creed: Shadows have announced a series of posts showcasing the gameplay features of the upcoming game. The first entry focuses on the revamped stealth mechanics.
One of the most significant changes is the absence of the iconic eagle companion. Instead, the protagonists will have an observation mechanic to mark enemies and caches. As an assassin, Naoe can still use Eagle Vision for tactical awareness.
The Shadows team has also introduced dynamic shadows, allowing players to hide within them, and a prone position feature. While lying flat, Naoe can roll quickly in any direction or execute a stealthy takedown on an unsuspecting foe.
Naoe's arsenal includes various gadgets like kunai, shurikens, smoke bombs, and bells for distracting enemies.
Double assassinations are officially returning in Assassin's Creed: Shadows. Naoe can eliminate two enemies simultaneously using her Hidden Blade and a tanto dagger, but this ability must be unlocked through a skill tree.
Not all assassinations will go smoothly. Attacking a higher-level enemy may result in only partial damage or no damage at all. However, this feature can be disabled in the settings.
Assassin's Creed: Shadows launches on February 14 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. Recently, Ubisoft released a 60 FPS patch for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.
