New Comparison Shows Dark Valley Transformation in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
Fans have released a set of screenshots comparing the Dark Valley location in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl to its original appearance in the 2007 game. The images showcase the significant visual upgrades.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl launched on November 20th for PC (Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X/S. The game currently holds a 75/100 score on OpenCritic and a 78% positive rating on Steam, though it's faced criticism for subpar optimization and numerous bugs. Developers have already announced a patch to address some of these technical issues.
Previously, a YouTuber shared footage of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 running at 8K resolution with ray tracing enabled. Separately, tech experts have tested the game and advise limiting the frame rate on PC to improve stability.
