First Look at a Potential Nintendo Switch 2 Model: Redesigned Look, Improved Joy-Cons, and a Second USB Type-C Port
A detailed first look at what might be the Nintendo Switch 2 has surfaced online. The creators of the YouTube channel SwitchUp showcased a mock-up of the device reportedly used for manufacturing protective cases.
According to the video, the next-gen Switch features a slightly redesigned body with rounded edges and a larger screen. The bloggers also highlighted an additional USB Type-C port, which would allow the device to charge while resting on its kickstand.
Moreover, the Joy-Cons have been revamped. The mock-up reveals more ergonomic thumbsticks, additional buttons near the triggers, and a new button on the right controller.
The announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 is expected before March 31, 2025. The company has previously confirmed that the console will be backward compatible with the current generation.
