Best Games of Last Year Announced at New York Game Awards 2025

The 14th annual New York Game Awards 2025 took place this morning, celebrating the standout games of the past year. The event featured several prominent figures, including former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé and writer Sam Lake.
The coveted Game of the Year title went to Astro Bot, which claimed victory in three of its four nominated categories. Other contenders for the top award included Balatro, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, UFO 50, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and EA Sports College Football 25.

- Best Music in a Game: Astro Bot;
- Best Acting in a Game: Troy Baker as Indiana Jones;
- Best Remake: Silent Hill 2;
- Best Hidden Gem: Mouthwashing;
- Best DLC: Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree;
- Andrew Yoon Legend Award Recipient: Sam Lake.
