id Software Reveals New Doom: The Dark Ages Gameplay and Release Date

id Software has showcased new gameplay footage for Doom: The Dark Ages, confirming a May 15 release date for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Doom: The Dark Ages serves as a prequel to Doom and Doom Eternal, set in a medieval-inspired world. Players will once again take on the role of the Doom Slayer, battling hordes of demons. Developers promise a vast arsenal of weapons, large-scale environments, the ability to ride a dragon, and pilot a massive mech. A key feature of this new installment is a customizable difficulty system, allowing players to tailor the challenge to their preference.

Pre-orders are now live in digital stores. The standard edition is priced at $70, while the deluxe edition, which includes the Divinity skin pack and a story DLC, costs $100.
