Introducing an unconventional folding case for compact PCs
Geometric Future is gearing up to release a new case designed for compact PCs. The Model 0 Flamingo features a small form factor and is built specifically for mini-ITX motherboards. Its standout feature is a patented folding design, where the case panels wrap around the motherboard and built-in power supply, resembling an origami box. Magnetic fasteners allow for effortless, tool-free assembly.
With compact dimensions of 81.2 × 205.7 × 208.2 mm, the Model 0 Flamingo is an excellent solution for building a multimedia PC. The case includes a 200W power supply unit certified with 80 Plus Bronze, providing sufficient power for processors with integrated graphics, such as the AMD Ryzen 7 8700G. However, the case does not support discrete GPUs, making it less suitable for demanding applications.
For CPU cooling, the case offers a large circular mesh panel on the top and multiple ventilation holes throughout. It supports low-profile coolers up to 60 mm in height, ensuring adequate cooling for compact builds. The price of the Model 0 Flamingo has not yet been officially announced, but it is expected to range between $90 and $110. Sales are set to begin on January 30, 2025.
