Pirates Never Die, a third-person horror-action game, has launched on Steam. It's being called a budget clone of Resident Evil with a pirate theme. It's priced at $16 in the US.
Set on a grim island, the story follows a young pirate named Deacon searching for his missing brother. Players will explore dark areas, find survival items, and fight zombie pirates and monsters. Both weapons and magic are available for combat. No console versions have been announced.
This game marks the debut project from developer Konvenant. The studio is currently working on a second title, Never Play Evil, also a third-person horror game, scheduled for a 2026 release on Steam.
