Gamers Raise $140,000 for the Treatment of Voice Actor from The Elder Scrolls and Fallout

Voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his close collaboration with Bethesda, was hospitalized in critical condition. He was found unconscious after missing an event to combat Alzheimer's disease.

Shortly after the incident, a fundraising campaign was launched on GoFundMe to cover Johnson's medical expenses. Within just 24 hours, fans of Wes Johnson contributed $143,000. All the funds will be given to Johnson's family to cover his medical bills.

Bethesda's official X (formerly Twitter) account posted a message supporting Wes Johnson, wishing him a speedy recovery. "Wes is not only an incredibly talented and instrumental part of our games, but also one of our dearest friends," the company stated.

Wes Johnson has been involved in the development of several installments of The Elder Scrolls, including Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, all Bethesda-developed Fallout games, and Starfield. He is best known as the voice of Lucien Lachance, the Gray Fox, Sheogorath, and Emperor Titus Mede II. Additionally, Johnson works as an announcer for the Washington Capitals hockey club.
