BestBuy Leaks Pricing for Gigabyte's RTX 5080 Models
BestBuy has unexpectedly spilled details about NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 5080 graphics cards. According to its website, only two models will launch at the rumored $999 MSRP (around 98,000 RUB): NVIDIA’s Founders Edition and Gigabyte’s compact WindForce OC SFF. All other variants, including premium editions, are set to carry hefty price hikes.
A breakdown of BestBuy’s listings shows Gigabyte plans to release seven RTX 5080 models. The entry-level WindForce OC SFF matches NVIDIA’s reference pricing, but upgrades to cooling and aesthetics come at a steep cost:
- Gaming OC: $1,199;
- AERO SFF: $1,249;
- AORUS Master / Master Ice: $1,299;
- Xtreme WaterForce (liquid-cooled): $1,399.
Notably, BestBuy will exclusively stock NVIDIA’s Founders Edition in the U.S. at launch, alongside Gigabyte’s SFF model. Analysts warn this limited availability could trigger shortages, with enthusiasts reportedly lining up at stores despite freezing winter temperatures.
Neither NVIDIA nor Gigabyte has officially commented, as details remain under embargo until January 30. However, the BestBuy leak suggests gamers face a tough dilemma: settle for baseline performance at $999 or shell out up to 40% more for overclocking headroom and premium designs.
