New Art from Avatar: Fire and Ash Reveals Barren Lands of the Ash Clan

The film magazine Empire has released another exclusive piece on Avatar: Fire and Ash. The publication shared an image of the Ash Clan's village, where some of the events of the trilogy's third installment will take place.

The villagers of Ash were forced to endure a natural disaster that turned their once-fertile lands into a barren wasteland. This not only hardened them but also shaped a unique culture distinct from other settlements.

According to production designer Dylan Cole, the Ash Clan initially didn't differ much from the Omaticaya people featured in the first film, but the cataclysm drastically altered their way of life. "So much of the world of Pandora is rich and vibrant and full of life — this is just the exact opposite," the specialist explained.

Previously, director James Cameron revealed that the film will also introduce the enigmatic Wind Traders, nomadic groups that roam from one corner of the planet to another.

The premiere of the third Avatar is scheduled for December 19, 2025.
