Viktor Antonov, Art Director of Half-Life 2 and Dishonored, Has Passed Away (Updated)

Former Valve writer Marc Laidlaw has published a post about the death of Half-Life 2 and Dishonored art director Viktor Antonov. The information appeared on the developer's official Instagram page, but was later deleted. Update: this sad news has been confirmed by Arkane studio founder Raphael Colantonio.
Original news: a screenshot from Marc Laidlaw's stories has spread across the network, in which he notified subscribers about the loss. Unfortunately, Instagram deletes such posts after 24 hours, so it is not yet possible to confirm the authenticity of the image. The writer himself has not yet commented on the situation, and there have been no official reports of Viktor Antonov's death.
Recall that 53-year-old Bulgarian artist Viktor Antonov is best remembered by gamers as the creator of the unique design of Half-Life 2 and the Dishonored series. He also worked on Arkane's Prey and MachineGames' Wolfenstein series, and most recently collaborated with Eschatology Entertainment on an unannounced AAA first-person shooter. Three months ago, a documentary about the development of Half-Life 2 was released, in which Viktor Antonov also starred.
